Meet Sicily

Delicate and trendy, a linen shirt will never go out of style and our new ladies' resort shirt, Sicily, is no exception to this. Our aim was to create the perfect, relaxed, oversized boyfriend shirt for all occasions. The key to Sicily is its versatility: designed to work either as a cover-up over a bikini or to be paired with our new Vienna linen trousers; whether that be over a t-shirt, vest or just worn on its own. It's so soft that you can even use it as a nightshirt to go to bed in! Your free time, as always, was at the heart of designing this piece, so, however, you choose to spend yours, Sicily is the perfect fit.

The devil is in the details with our new Sicily linen shirt: A classic collar makes this piece timeless; The comfort levels come from the dropped shoulders and the lightweight feel of the linen, as well as the oversized fit. The patch pocket adds an extra little touch of detail that makes it the perfect all-rounder.

Just as with the men's linen collection, we wanted to avoid that stereotypical, dry, itchy linen feel. Linen is a widely used fabric due to its breadth of beneficial properties and should be a wardrobe staple when it comes to summer and resort collections. We strived to create a linen shirting fabric that is decidedly superior and this will be apparent from the first touch and wear of the garment.

So how did we create an improved feel, pure linen without sacrificing its inherent, beneficial qualities and performance? Well, we spent over twelve months developing it with our partner mill trying to get the softness and performance we wanted. We used all our experience and tricks of the trade we could tell you about, but then we’d have to… you know.

Meet Vienna

Where would the classic linen shirt be without its trouser counterpart? Vienna is our new mid-rise linen trouser of your dreams - with a slightly heavier weight to it than our Sicily linen shirt. The elasticated waist with a cord fastening makes this piece easily adjustable and super comfortable. And the best part, pockets - two large patch pockets adorn the back of Vienna, so you can keep all your personal items close.

Could there be a more ideal pair of ladies' linen trousers for relaxing on the beach or sipping Aperol in the sun? We don't think so!

The Benefits of Linen

Finally, what is it that makes linen so special?

Absorbent: linen can absorb up to 20% of its weight in moisture causing it to draw perspiration away from the body.
Fast Drying: linen fibres release moisture back into the air very quickly and dry almost instantly because the fibre itself cannot hold air or heat.
Breathability: linen allows heat to pass through unobstructed.
Durability: linen is famous for its durability. Unlike other fabrics, linens tend to improve with use. Washing linens makes them stronger but softer and linens also increase their tensile strength when wet.
